This unusual ring is made using an ammonite fossil which has been hand set in copper, with the underside cut away to accommodate the natural shape of the bottom of the fossil.
The ring band design is a U shape and attached to the side of the copper setting on both sides. The width of the band, at the widest point, is 20mm, the height, from the base of the fossil to the bottom of the ring is approx. 15mm. This corresponds, roughly, to a ring size O.
